ANIMAL WELFARE, CONSERVATION, and EDUCATION are our three core institutional purposes. Animal welfare is held to the highest standard, ensuring the collection receives the best care in line with modern zoological practices and philosophies. Our local and global conservation and education programs CONNECT children with nature, FOSTER environmental stewardship, and INSPIRE the next generation of conservation scientists to become leaders within their communities.

Our goal is for everyone to gain an appreciation for these amazing, gentle, yet misunderstood animals. No other order of mammals provides the ecological and economic services performed by bats on a daily basis.

 

In 2019 we launched our #LoveOurBats campaign which provides a multitude of resources for teachers, children, and anyone who would like to learn more about our beloved sky puppies.
